Well... its been nearly 10 years, but I am finally going back on the tortoise again! Whatever happened to Alaska 2000? Did anybody go? I am living in Australia now (married an aussie)-the one who was supposed to come with me on the trip last time. We're doing canyons of the west (6 Oct 06)-shortened version that includes the warm places we went to last time.

Saw your site linked to the tortoise site-its great that our trip is now immortalised! (Although the photos of me are a bit scary!)

Happy crawling to all!

Hi, Tony. I really enjoyed your web site! It is cool. I am very happy to find some pictures that I have wanted to see. I guess it took so long to make this page.

Hopefully I can send some pictures in a few weeks. Good luck for making other parts.

Thank you and take care.

Tony: You are amazing!!! Just got your photos, they're great!

I heard from the Danimal and got a letter from Jolanda. they are doing well and have been able to get together some in San Fran.

I have been working like crazy since I've been back. I am saving for a long trip starting next march possibly. I will write some more later when I get more time.

Dear Tony & My Fellow Torti,

Wow Tony this webpage is awesome and a wonderful idea! Three cheers for our man Tony!!! You are lucky you are in England buddy because I could kiss you right now. I will send you some photos and excerpts from my journal for the page. The rest of my summer was great and included one more great adventure; I climbed Mount Shasta (14,621 ft.) It was as memorable and exciting as our Tortoise trip together. I went through some heavy Green Tortoise withdrawal where I missed everyone greatly. Have anyone else experienced this phenomena? Don't forget Alaska in 2000! Vic would like to get as many of us together for that wild ride.

Thanks again to everyone for being a part of one of the best experiences of my life.

Hi, Tony and the rest of the Green-Tortoise-group!

We enjoyed our adventure trip and we miss everybody of our party-group. We often think about our great trip, especially about our hike in the Grand Canyon. "Don't get lost in the middle of nowhere!"

Tony, it was a good idea to make such a report with great pictures about our trip. So it is for everybody possible to see your pictures.

mondays suck (american for "are shite")
the hour went back yesterday
the monday after the end of daylight saving really sucks (you get the picture)
now there can be no denying, even in (still) sunny california, that the
summer is really over

thankfully the tortoise files have the power to soften even this, the suckiest daya service to all cubicle-bound would-be adventurers, the toroise in us allnow back to my shell

GREAT SITE!!

I was on a '95 National Parks Loop tour on the tortoise. Its fun to read about yours and see all the pictures, even though I don't know any of you. It makes me think back to my own trip. (aaah, so many fun memories ;-) )Some of the pictures I have almost identical versions of, but still there are a lot of differences in the routes and places of the two trips. You have inspired me to make my own "tortoise page" when I get around to finish my homepage.

Regards Morten

Tony, this site is great! We get a lot of enthusiasm from our passengers, but going so far as to collect & post sound clips for downloading is a new one on me! Seriously, very fun and informative, & great design.
